J21 on the M62 near here seems to be mentioned in the traffic reports far too often,I would like to bring it to someones attention with a view to improving things, just how I dont know? Signs, lighting, road surface?

I do Junction 19 to 27 everyday, I would say 21 (milnrow) is not that bad?

24 - 26 is far worse?

From November until March its someones job to crash at 5 30 to 6 30 every morning at the Huddersfield/Brighouse junction

A few miles of fast down hill motorway with a junction at the bottom and often fog or heavy rain, you will always have accidents

Going East near Brighouse is the same set up as going West near Milnrow,(bottom of a long hill).
Perhaps it is the same thing when you get a different car,you see the same make on every street corner, now I have got it into my head I just notice when J21 is mentioned.

Yes, I think another section of roadworks is just what is needed!

Seriously though J21 (both ways)... I think the problems are sheer weight of traffic.

I had an idea once that might have helped.

I reasoned that there must be a large number of people travelling from the Manchester side towards Leeds to do a job for which there was likely an almost identical match on the Manchester side, to which someone was commuting from the Leeds side.

Enter the saviour: www.m62jobswap.co.uk with plenty of motorway side / local radio advertising. You know, instead of reading this you could already be home etc.

Interestingly enough the dot com and dot co uk domains are available... hmmmm

Working in the construction industry as I do I see this a lot.I am from N.Manchester and am working for a company based in Liverpool, apparently they have won some decent jobs in the area, are there no Manchester based companies that could have won these jobs?
