Cool, that's what I like to hear as I just did it with the fans off, only to come back and read that they _should_ have been on.
Does this fount of manufacturer's wisdom offer any explanation for this strange requirement? At worst you can always re-bleed but the only purpose of the fan(s) is to speed up the airflow over the heating surface. Dogwatch said:

No idea, but bottom line is I HAVE HEAT coming through my vents now. No longer do I have to drive to work with ice cold air coming through the vents when its 4c outside
