Hi. My wife's Honda Civic was involved in a shunt which popped both front airbags and seatbelt pre tensioners. I have replaced all the bits and had the ECU reset but light is still on. I have had this checked and a fault is still indicated with the ECU and with the drivers side pretensioner. I would prefer not to take the car to Honda. Does anyone know who I could take car to for fixing? I am in the Gloucester area so anywhere between Bristol and Birmingham would be helpful.
Thanks, Peter

Why not get it checked out at a dealer? It is safety equipment after all and it has already served its purpose once before.

Not withstanding Honda's eye watering charges the car is not recorded as having been in an accident. Not very cosher I know but I would like to keep it that way.

I think the insurance companies keep a record but of course, in this electronic age, anything noticed by a dealer is likely to be recorded against the vehicle history. Certainly my BMW dealer seems to be able to see the full record of work carried out on my 650 even if the work has not been carried out there.
