Thanks to BeirutTaxi I've been greatly enjoying the Exciting Cars (£1k - £5k) thread.

But it got me thinking. What about a slightly higher price bracket? I know we could keep repeating this ad-infinitum, but I'm intrigued to see what the combined might of PH can come up with if the price bracket were a little higher - £5k - £10k.

For me it'd be something like this;

I know Mr Harris doesn't agree, but fantastic to see them starting to creep under £10k.

So come on, what would you do if you could afford that little bit more?

Just posted this in a different thread.

Great noise and performance for the money and strong residuals too.

Was the different thread "Most gopping for 6 grand"?

Ace engine, noise, performance. But I would need to be very very blind to buy that.

Yet for more money people are happy to buy a new age Impreza, Focus ST, BMW. None of which are lookers and are arguably less striking.

Funny old world isn't it.

Looks nice.

It's just when you read the bit about a new clutch and service in 2012 costing £6500. eek

Plus it comes with over £30k of service receipts. eek

This sounds like the ideal thread for me, as maybe looking to swap the Elise for something else.

A good Chimaera 430 or a really nice 430 BV was my first thought too.

Pretty - yes, but I think the excitement would be mostly felt by your local Lotus specialists wallet when you turn up to get it serviced.
