Hi All,

I just DO NOT understand this, over the last year I have test drove in excess of 15 cars and purchased 3 cars and ALL of them have some sort of vibration (except for the new 320 m sport i kept perfect until I sold it)

The thing that really confuses me is that do people know its there but cant be bothered investigating it or do they not realize its there.

I have purchased an range rover 2006, Audi A8 2007 and ML420 that had it but managed to resolve the issues myself either in the form of a new alloy/tyre/suspension part. I went today to test drive an S500L AMG kitted - I thought it must have been very well looked after and it cant possibly shake and guess what, as soon as I hit 55mph+ it started to vibrate through the steering wheel and I could also feel it in my seat - especially on the motorway.

SERIOUSLY HOW THE fk CAN PEOPLE LIVE WITH THIS ? IS IT JUST ME BEING VERY PICKY OR DO PEOPLE JUST LIKE THE VIBRATION !!

I suspect the vibration gradually gets worse over time and the driver just gets used to it to the point where they don't notice.

I guess that could be a point - I just find it quite surprising because its not a slight vibration its quite distinct. I was with my dad who sat in the back of the s500 and even he said something wasnt right about the ride and he usually says im being too picky.

Vibrations normally happen around the 50-70mph range, I fly straight through that so would probably never notice biggrin

SERIOUSLY, HOW THE fk CAN PEOPLE NOT TEST DRIVE CARS BEFORE BUYING THEM?

Or do you only feel the vibrations once you've lightened your wallet? wink
