Hi all, I am new here. Just wanted to introduce myself.
I have had sooooo many cars over the past 21 years of driving. List shown in my garage....and motorbikes

Sadly, I don't have one right now as I have lived in China since May 2010. However I will be purchasing a 2007 Ford Mustang 4.6 V8 GT with Cervini kit when we return to the UK in Feb 2014

UK License does't work here, so I have to take a test. There are cars everywhere here, their driving is beyond belief and there are enough taxi's around, sooooo cheap and convenient, plus ample busses, and all cars cost 3.5 times what they do in the UK!!!!

China is quite new to the car scene so they are all pretty new so which means they are very expensive

Hello Mark and welcome to the PH fold. Have you been lurking here for a while or did you decide to jump straight in? If you're not a lurker then you're a braver man than most.

Why so many cars? Do you get bored easily or have they all gone to scrap?

Oh, yes..... forgot. No, not a lurker, just joined. Always look on the site at the classifieds for good mustangs, never looked at the forum. I did all that long ago. no time recently.
Had some time tonight so sent them my T-shirt design, then joined the forum

Any other Mustang owners on here?

It is great fun to be honest, I use mine as a daily drive, a race car and a show car, driven in all weathers. I get 20mpg day to day and around 30 on a run. In the last three and a half years I have had no problems with the LHD and they handle fine.

Parts aren’t an issue most can be had from either UK suppliers or from the US, good heater, good aircon. The seats are comfy, you can drive for hours (even on the lower stiffer Roush suspension) and get out feeling totally fine, no back ache or anything. It sounds superb, picks up and goes well. The supercharged cars are mental from what I have seen.
Road tax is £220 P/A, and I have found insurance even on a heavily modified vehicle is around the hot hatch mark, though they do ask for LHD and powerful RWD car driving experience.

The only real con I have found is the fuel tank, sometimes it is a right pain to get fuel into and imho for a car with a 4.6l engine a 60litre fuel tank isn’t big enough. One tip from me is to turn the “traction control” off in the wet as it will put you into a quite disconcerting tank slapper if the back end steps out.

Before you buy join up on S197.co.uk and there are tonnes of people on there that know everything and anything about these cars.

Great, thank you. I will be getting a black one (nottoo sure about the red interior though). I will ft the Eleanor kit with the side exhausts and Ialready know I will love, just wanted some honest owners opinions. Thank you for that. I will check out S197.co.uk too

That is frustrating, on S197 it says "creating a new account is not possible at the moment"

Yeah there have been a lot of bots signing up to advertise ccensoredp at the moment so they have blocked new sign ups. I'll have a word, I assume you are going to use the same user name as on here?

Ah. I'll sort it out. I run the s197.co.uk forum. Panzercommander (is that you Moxy?) is right. We were getting bombed by spam so disabled the registration temporarily and forgot about it!
