I'm after a new motor, not a big budget, up to, say, £2500. But here is the twist. I don't care for MPG, not in the slightest.

Basically want a car that'll work when turned on, not to much to fix if it doesn't turn on and is fun. None of this Focus rubbish. I'd also rather not a rust bucket that I won't be able to sell on.

Wanna P reg Volvo 850 2.5GLT auto? My mate's struggling to give his away. Nearer £500 than £2500 though.

Are you for real not caring about mpg? really really??

If so, Jaguar XJ12 in 6.0 litre guide would be pretty funky. 12-16mpg though.

XJ-S also pretty cool, 11-15mpg

V8 Range Rover or Disco 15mpg

V8 or S6 Jeep sub 20mpg

Series Land Rover 2.25 - sub 20mpg

No on the MX-5 front! Just can't see myself driving one!

Some old bimmers there, good shout, the E39s seem very good value. Needs to be manual though, I'll dig about.

Not a big fan of Jap cars, so I'm ruling those out.

300bhp/ton, really. I don't do loads of miles and the other halfs car is the main car, this is just a run about really.

You could get a nice E36 328i Sport for that money, or a nice E46 328i / maybe 330i.

I didn't say crap. I meant not a run of the mill car, rather something that has some personality and isn't owned by half of the country.

Yes yes! Reliable though, I also like the idea of a V8.
