Volvo badge ? Used to have an IAM badge but removed it. Making progress at or near legal limits seemed to attract lots of frowns and finger-wagging.........."You should know better" sort of thing. Buddha knows why.

I have a bright yellow 80s AA badge but that is more period ironic than because I think it looks good.

Removed my IAM badge for similar reasons to above.

There is a "Type R" badge on the front grill of my Honda, does that count?

Who from? Can't have been people coming toward you, you'd be past before they could lift a digit.

Can't have been people behind you, they wouldn't have seen it.

Hard to imagine pedestrians clocking it, and getting a finger wag in before you're past either. confused

Not sure if it counts but ...

I put a small RS badge on the upper grille of my Focus RS.

Previous owner of my old Clio V6 had also stuck a V6 badge on the lower grille.

No grille badge, but I do have a 'hood ornament'

Pedestrian safety wasn't really thought of in the late 40's

I like so far. Whilst "back badging" is the alpha shout designating what has either just passed you or what is about to scream off into the distance, the front grille has always, in my mind, greeted the world as a butler on the front step - a promise that something special might just happen.

Instead of model designation bootlid boredom, grille badges blend into the snout or face of a car as a semi-secret emblem of belonging and potency.

Above, the "Lambda Sond" will baffle those who can guess a 330 is better than a 318, whilst the "GT" or "V6" above are owner defined spits of bravado publicly thrown at the world - front first.

Can I have some more please?

I was quite poor about a year a bit ago now, and looking for things to sell decided to get rid of the 16v badge. Instantly regretted it when I packaged it up for eBay. Luckily I got one from my Dad along with some other bits for that years's birthday.

Don't know why I bothered in the first place, got less than £20! GTI badge now restored.

The Octavia has got one; it looks rather rubbish to my eye. Not so much so that I can be arsed to take it off, though.

All badges off mine. The t of smart went wonky on the back, so it sort of read smart. So out came the wd40, hairdryer and dental floss, and they all came off.
