Why no two tone paint jobs? I'm so bored with silver and white cars / bikes. How about some classy two tone?

Rover/MG had it as an option and I always wanted one, hadn't seen one in ages and then I saw a 75 in Asda car park with it the other day. Great looking colour and it really stood out amongst the silver and black. Nissan did it as an option on the Primera GT, I seem to remember too.

^that's a flip colour, giving you the choice of 3-4 horrible colours all on the one car.

I saw a two tone Rover 75 recently, think it was two shades of green, looked pretty good.
I think two tone looks best on smarter cars with two similar shades.

That's just added-on plastic. These are two-tone cars..

Humber Super Snipe

Jaguar Mk.VII

Rover 3-litre

Two-tone is not to be confused with semi-ska music from Coventry.....

Always liked this combo on the 308GT4. As tested by Autocar, back in the day:

I like the two tone black roof look.

I also really like the classic Mercedes Silver over grey;

most of those aren't two-tone - just coloured plastic trim. the Rover 75 is nice.

awwww, I was about to try and make that joke

Like a good pinstripe too. Thought the X300/308 Jags looked great with them. For the X350's they replaced it with a panel crease which just didn't cut the mustard in my opinion

Not wanting to sound cheeky, but with Minis it was usually to cover the rust.......
