So what's the issue with the section of the m25 between 16 and 17 anti clockwise ? Over the last 10 days there have been crashes in 6 out of my last 8 journys through this section ? meaning tail backs of 20 miles + each time

Over the last 6 months there must have been at least another 20 ish days I can remember but it's much worse since the dark nights and rain.

Is there something inherently wrong

Phib ( 3hr journey home from work .... Again !!!)

Only took me an extra hour to get home tonight, but at least I didn't get killed.

As a guess, I'd say a lorry driver fell asleep -- we can't know right now and may probably never know or be told for sure. But a similar event happened on the clockwise carriageway between J 15 and 16 recently when a lorry driver drove into another bridge at 5am.

20 years ago it was Loudwater kids with air rifles.

Wonder if it was standing water in the dip but most likely just people not adjusted to wet winter roads yet.

God I'm glad we have experts that do, do accident investigations.
