Great Service!

Really keen follower of Pistonheads. I have had about 30 cars and love everything motoring. My tastes have ranged from many BMW's to Porsche, SMART's but a couple of weeks ago decided that I needed a 4x4 for the dog and to get me to work as a rural GP.
Looked around and really liked the understated ruggedness of the Volvo XC70 - (I know it has happened! I've become old at 34!).
Was looking at new but then spotted one at a local Volvo dealer, 5 years old 35k miles - very big spec.
Went to have a look and a drive and bought it -- have to say it is a fantastic thing, very very comfortable, pretty quick - (it is the D5) and sounds interesting - great for the job.
What is my point.... well the dealer... absolutely fantastic -- was Ray Chapman in Malton (don't have any links with them) -- but... nothing was too much trouble, got a great test-drive and it was just so refreshing not to have the constant telephone calls, pressure (think on BMW - looked at those too and was getting bombarded with contact)- the car was perfectly prepared and you really get the feeling that they value your custom and will look after you.
A great touch was that I fancied a little diecast model of the XC so called them and asked if I paid over the phone would they pop it in the post (was £6.99) -- they said no problem but would hand deliver it so that it didn't get damaged (25 miles) and not to worry about paying - I know that it is a little thing but really does make all the difference.
Have been wanting to post this for ages -- we are all so quick to moan when things go wrong (I should know I do! e.g. BMW recently fitting brake pads all around without asking for authorisation despite being told not to do anything before checking and then having a load of hassle to sort it out!) I just wanted to pass on some good news!
