Having seen it work well on other forums, I was surprised to see there is no long running thread for people to do quick updates on whatever they've done to their car recently.

Today I resealed my drivers side door leak, and removed the front seats in order to rip the carpet up tomorrow to dry it all out, finding plenty of mould in the process. Also got a fresh MOT in the morning.

These threads never start that day I install a turbo or replace a 1.3 engine with a 4.6 one.

I've done nothing to my cars today.

Drive it, and emptied some of the assorted crap I have in it in preperation for cleaning it tomorrow to sell on Saturday. Will be filling it with petrol in about 15 minutes too, then a bit more driving.

Its amazing the ammmmmount of st you can fit in a VX220 considering how impractical they are

The BMW emptied my bank account to the tune of £420 this morning......

So I vacuumed, washed & polished the bloody thing after which I also vacuumed, washed & polished the Jaguar.

Also tried, without any success, to sell the alloys that I recently took off the Jaguar.

Also filled both of them with petrol so quite an expensive day

Noticed that the tail light warning lamp was lit again (bad connection somewhere as the lights are fine!).

I changed the coil on my Elise two weeks ago. Step 1 was emptying the boot so I could take the boot panel out for access. A bottle of coolant, bag of cable ties, side cutters, spare relay, tow eye, wind-up torch, water proof coat, bunch of rape*, a few pages from the manual, a hazard warning switch from a Pug 205, roll of tape and some carpet. There was still room for a weeks worth of shopping.

* nothing to do with the cable ties and tape, it was oilseed rape. I was trying to make the world's least romantic bunch of flowers ever. It worked.

Before the picture even loaded, or I'd even had a chance to look at your user name, I knew you'd be driving an Leon Cupra R. They all leak - mine leaked like a sieve, but only when parked on a slope with the nose facing down, there was just enough life left in the door seals to keep the water out when it was flat. Instead, the water used to pool on the sills and run off and soak my shoes when I opened the door after it rained. I fixed mine with butyl strip, really easy job but definitely not the quality you expect from a VAG product. Great cars, though with door seals and other things mine was not terribly reliable.

What have I done in my car today; taken it to the redline a few times when a rare stretch of open road appeared on the rush hour traffic. Nothing like despatching those morons who trundle at 40mph down NSL roads, causing huge tailbacks with a VTEC at 8000rpm.

Drove it 4 miles to work.

Drove it 4 miles to see a client.

Drove it the 4 miles back to work.

Drove it the 4 miles home.

Hate day's like today where it doesn't get a chance to properly warm up.

And to top it off... huge roadworks outside the office with a 1 way system so I ended up taking 25 mins to cover the 4 miles. bks.

I put the box of parts (two inner track rod ends and a left hand side control) I'd ordered in the back of my V70. The track rods were on an advisory and the control arm is because one of the bushes is split on the one on the car, but was missed by the MOTMAN. I'll change them at my leisure.

Unbolted a load of stuff off the engine, undid the engine mounts, jacked the engine up six inches, removed the supercharger pulley, fitted a smaller one, put it all back together, washed my hands, drove away 25bhp better off. biggrin

Yup, as I read the bit about the leak, I instantly thought Leon hehe

As for me, I looked at it through the window, other than that I've left it alone.

Put £130 of fuel into it, chucked the mountain bike on the back and headed for the hills.

Then on the way home nearly killed it while nearly killing the silly cow in the freelander that pulled out in front of me requiring a 60mph emergency stop and lots of swearing.
Managed to miss her but not entirely sure how.
