Hello all just bought a used car from a main dealer (german cars)

Saw it on autotrader they sent me a video and i bought it over the phone after asking a few questions.

I live 250 miles away so they delivered it to my house.

The car is in mint condition 2008 low miles good price. Very happy but..........

In the video which I still have the staff member showing the car says it has bluetooth (they confirmed this over the phone as well) it doesn't!

Also all 4 tyres are the original ones and have ok tread but have a lot of small / tiny cracks on the sidewalls. I know what this is and specifically asked if the tyres were good and had good tread should they not have been changed?

Thoughts..................

Bluetooth - take it up with the dealer.
Tyres, that'll be up to you.

Agreed. If they are decent they will agree a ceiling price, tell you to get it done locally, send them the receipt and they'll send you a cheque.

If not, and you have the video from the saleman, then the car was not as sold as advertised and I guess you can reject it. Probably.

a car will pass its mot with lightly cracked tyres, infact they can get fairly nasty and still be passable , so i doubt they change them ..wouldve been a set of ling longs anyway hehe

Retail sale, distance selling, they have a duty for it to be as described.
Get a quote from your local car audi place for fitting a Parrot kit (£140-£195 fitted)
Get a written report from National Tyres or ATS or similar on state of the tyres (a retail prepared main dealer stock car should not have perished sidewalls).

Good luck getting it sorted using distance selling reasoning.

Have a look on the sidewalls to find out the age of the tyres.
