Lorries and their year round xmas lights
Discussion
So, as far as I'm aware it's not really allowed to have coloured lights festooned all over your car (certainly blue ones!).
Are the rules different for lorries, a small proportion of which have Blackpool illuminations in their cabins... or could I legally put some christmas lights on the roof of my Puma
Any smart MOT peeps like to give a quick breakdown of what is and isn't allowed other than the usual headlights?

think it was covered on one of the truck forums.
something to do with the trucks you describe, especially this new "fad" where alot of lorry drivers like these silly little blue lights all over their trucks. (i don't.)
i always thought any forward facing light could only be white? but something to do with their size, or the fact they are not flashing, meant they were ok.
i think i vaguely got that right.
alot of trucks do go mad for all the add on stuff, not my cup of tea.
i like the lower and upper spots you see on wagons, as they do serve a purpose and are ok when only lit with sidelight type bulbs when not on full beam.

You'll only see the blue lights in the cabs of gay truckers that are looking for 'business'.something to do with the trucks you describe, especially this new "fad" where alot of lorry drivers like these silly little blue lights all over their trucks. (i don't.)

i'm the only night driver where i'm working for abit.
our depot has about 18 artics, i'd say half of these have changed there interior lights for different colours. some are red, (helpful) some are green, (pointless) and the rest are blue

about 6 of the wagons have the additional spotlight bars, which on nights i have to admit are very, very good. a couple of deers are still alive along the m4 corridor due to these.

mm i fancy a light bar to add to the lighting on my merc 814, as the headlights and main bean aren't that great... although with the state of its 17 yer old electrics maybe not !!
some big candles
the light bars are good, bloody expensive though.
if i ever get round to setting up on my own, i would consider a set.
