Can anyone recommend a really great driving experience, which costs under £150?

I am looking for one where you don't spend 90% of the time in a classroom and one where you don't just end up doing 5 laps. So perhaps a rally experience or something a bit different to the standard 'drive a Ferrari or a Lambo' (single seater?). I'm looking to buy this as a gift for someone who has already done quite a few driving days.

The location not an issue.

Thanks!

Phil Price rally school http://www.philprice.co.uk/ in wales was superb when I went, but last time I looked it was over budget for a full day there.

I did one here a couple of years ago, by far the best experience I've done.

Years ago, I did the John Watson rally course at Silverstone in Group N Peugeot 309 GTis. It was great. Probably more than £150.

My brother did an experience at the afore mentioned rally place. Loved it. Plus I have a friend who works there. He bought an MGB as his first car at 17 a couple of years ago. And he's done a couple of rallies. Gives you an idea of the kind of people that work there (people that actually like driving!)

But I did the single seaters at silverstone and that's great, like karting on steroids!

Not done it myself, but my dad did a one hour AMG driving experience at Mercedes World which cost £150. Was apparently allowed to totally rag the car non-stop for an hour on either a skid pan or handling circuit.

Not sure on the cost now as it was a few years ago when I did it but the rally experience at Prestwold Hall was good, plenty of seat time in a few different cars.

Silverstone single seater experience. 20 minutes building up speed behind a pace car. Then 20 minutes going as fast as you like, overtaking allowed on the straights. Far better than ten minutes in a Lambo at 60%.

Yeah, did it a few months back and it was great. It was the first circuit driving I'd done though, and I think if someone's done a lot before then it mightn't stand out quite so much.
