Hi Folks,
Just wondered if anyone else had left Admiral multicar and what happened to their NCB at the time.

I went there when I bought a 2nd car 3 years ago as I only had one NCB to use of 6 years.
They mirrored the 6 years across both cars and 3 years later I have 9 years on both cars.

I was told yesterday that if I left I would have 2 NCBs, one of 3 years I had earnt since going to them and one of 9 years which would have been the original one I had when I went to them.

Phoned again today to be told I can take two NCB's with me of 9 years each which I am a little suspicious of.....

Any body with similar experience?

Cheers,

Mark.

The documents that will be sent to you don't differentiate between accrued and mirrored NCB.

Technically you only have 3 years accrued but the documents will say 9 years and if your new insurer contacts Admiral to check the NCB they will confirm will be 9 years not 3.
Nothing suspicious so no need to worry, it's up to an insurer how much NCB they wish to give you.

yeah, I'm just going to have to renew with 3 years on the car and see what happens when I send them my proof of no claims with 9 on it. I just wish the NCB would say 3 years on it like they told me yesterday.

It feels a little like they want me to slip up and tell an insurance company I have 9 when I only have 3. They told me tonight I have 9 on both even after I argued one only has 3. Either way its potentially creating hassle for me! lol

It won't, if an insurer wants to give you extra NCB they can.
Your new insurer can confirm this with Admiral.
