R8 V10 or V12 Vantage
Discussion
I am thinking about the possibility of either of these cars!
Is there anybody who has driven both, what's the more exciting car when your looking for a bit of fun and I would also do quite alot of normal routine stuff as well, have briefly driven V12 Vantage but drive got cut short due to unforeseen circumstances.. prices have come down on both recently.

I've only driven an R8 V8 and it was surprisingly docile and very user friendly which bodes well for daily use. Obviously can't comment on the V12 except to add that it can't be that different, only faster! Oh and it's German, which, while your average PH'er would say that doesn't mean diddly, should prove reliable.
...Aston has character thoug.. cough. cough

Haven't driven either
Why bother posting then?
Hope that helps with your confusion.

If you spent less time being a tosser, you'd see I didn't comment on how they drive, just how I feel about them. If I was making the choice, that would be part of my decision, as well as how they drive.

You do know the deep irony that he himself hasn't driven either of them too. I mean what is the chance of that, being able to answer the question and be a self confessed tosser.Hope that helps with your confusion.

Well, I don't live in a hugely salubrious area but the bloke a couple of doors down has a Vantage (albeit V8). None of my neighbours have an R8 so for that reason I'd buy the R8, it's rarer and more exclusive where I live.
You should use the idea of one upmanship and go V12

I've driven both cars over at least 6 months and both are completely different in my opinion .
Personally , for me I would have the R8 as it felt a more focussed drivers car compared to the Aston and definitely more exciting to drive.
Both are superb cars in their own right though , it just depends what you are looking for .
I also think the Aston is more of a GT - cruise down to Le Mans type car compared to the get in and thrash the nuts off me please R8 .
The Aston looks the classier car , but the R8 looks more sporty and agressive .
Both sound superb and you woudlnt be dissapointed listening to either of them .
Overall for me , I would have an R8 V10 manual Spyder rather than the fixed head and I woudlnt buy R Tronic gearbox as its best described as useless even with the latest software updates although that was on an V8 version so not sure if the V10 R Tronic is a different gearbox . If it is , then it might be worth a look over the manual box.
Not sure if that helps at all , just my opinion .

I don't want to. I haven't driven either car so I don't want to upset the Tosser, but the Aston just doesn't excite me.
Besides, I'm driving an 8 year old BMW at the minute, I'm not in the market for anything remotely Vantagey or R8ey at this time.
