Minor flaws with cars you (otherwise) love...
Discussion
Driving into work in the MR2 this morning, I realised the washer jets were frozen up. Of course, being mid-engined, there was then no engine warmth to unfreeze them. Good. Filthy screen all the way, then.
This got me thinking about those little flaws in cars you otherwise love to bits. The little niggles that you wish you could change - or perhaps you don't, as they add, ahem, 'character'. Care to share yours?

The rear screen heater element on my E34 touring is pretty weak. The problem is compounded by the fact that steam from the exhaust condenses onto it as you drive.
I scraped the frost off before I left for work this morning, but the screen soon got covered in condensate and the wiper blade was too cold to clear it properly. The screen was just about clear by the time I got to work!

The soft top on my 350Z refuses to come down if its too cold (colder than about 7 deg Celcius). I am told that this is normal, and even the manual tells you not to use it at 5 dec celcius or colder.
Thats bye bye to crisp winter morning drives with the roof down then
Also the dipstick is in the most ridiculous, borderline impossible to get to place - getting it out no problem, getting it back in - struggle!

944 is full of minor design faults. Brake calipers is a biggie; stupid idea to use metals with very different electropotentials in close proximity to each other, especially in a wet (or - worse - salt-water) environment. Another one is the drains on the rear spoiler, which block and make a puddle on the boot. And don't get me started on the ergonomics of the switchgear; apparently identical switches can rock, slide or push in and out with no logic in the choice whatsoever.

My E39 BMW- rear seats don't fold down and no through hatch (Some had one). Also the interior build quality isn't as robust as cars that were half the price. Heater buttons fall off and awful cup holders etc... although it is very comfortable.
Aston Martin DB7- rear light cluster looked dated in 1994.

(but have driven) Lamborghini murcielago just doesn't accommodate a 6'3 person. Shame
te and the front windscreen demister is useless.
And the front washer jets freeze up in winter, too.
