I am looking to purchase a car and planning to do 5000 - 6000 miles per year. The car has to be maximum six years old. It could be either 2/4 seater and coupe/convertible. The car has to feel special. Thanks in advance for your replies.

997? You'd get a stunner for that.

V8 Vantage - You'll get a good example 6 year old car for your budget.

I'd probably get flamed but...Nissan GTR? Private sale can net you a well kept 59 plater. Definitely no problem in maintenance costs if mileage is that low.

Relax the age requirement and get a CSL? 30k should be able to get you a very good example of one...

997 just not special enough. I`m presuming you have alternative daily driver. Why not get something that will give you a completely different driving experience and not lose too much money:

I had the same problem. My company set the 6 year old rule. I'm unsure if the OP is in a similar position but my view was there's no point in buying anything 5 years old as in another year it would have to be replaced. I changed my max age to 3 years old. You suddenly then realize there's limited options.

M3 would fit the bill but tax is daft, insurance is more daft as is fuel.
