52 plate KA that is getting smashed to bits doent the crappy pothole laden lanes I have to use for my commute.

Needs both strut tops replacing, rear wheel bearing, and ANOTHER windscreen as the current 15 month old one has cracked badly.

Thats me freezing my nuts off outside tomorrow then.... rolleyes

My snotter failed its MOT on the good old rot a few days ago. I'm discovering that there isn't anything interesting for under £600 quid hehe

Ah well, that's not such a bad pile of things to need doing, in the grand scheme of things; it's an old Ka, if it's not rusted through it's a good show. Strut tops is a couple of hours, wheel bearing similar if it's not seized in. Is it a bonded windscreen?

Nah, cheap old rubber boot seal ( I think).

Not sure if its worth going though the insurance or just stumping up the £130 tbh.

Which part actually needs replacing? A lot of testers wrongly fail these on excessive play at the top of the strut when this is normal on KAs, it even says so on the inspection sheet that's printed off.

Yeah, I know. Its an ongoing thing with this design, but seeing the amount of play the tester demonstrated, along with the banging sounds when driving (not from the stereo!), andthe badly worn front tyres coupled with knowing its not the worst job in the world to do, Im going to change them.
