Hi all,

Have had uneven tyre wear before, but it has been across the same tyre, and had been solved by getting the tracking done.

I've now got a slightly different situation - all tyres are wearing evenly across the tread, but one of the front tyres is wearing a lot quicker than the other (front drive car) - obviously going to get it checked but wondering what the likely cause would be.

Any pointers?

I assume you have identical makes of tyre on the front?

Otherwise calm down on roundabouts hehe

This car doesn't encounter too many roundabouts - a least not ones you can hoof around smile

It's my daily motorway hack - Ocativa VRS Diesel - hopefully not worn dampers at only 15k miles/15 months old :s

Trikster- have you been regularly checking your tyre pressures? What sort of difference in wear are we talking about here? 1mm difference between the two tyres? more?
Also, as the other poster suggested, are both the tyres the same brand/model and were they both new at the same time, or has one of them been swapped with the spare or something.

Other option is look carefully at the sizewalls. One might be an OE tweaked version of the tyre (for instance an AO tyre) which runs a softer compound, or they could have been made at different times and one has an updated compound.
