Some suggestions please all,

Looking to get an Arcan trolley jack, non aluminium, probably the 30R, I know these were on a special at Costco a while back, apart from the fact I live nowhere near one are there any other recommendations?

On the usual ebay etc they seem to be £150 once delivered, costco were doing them for £80 apparently.

Appreciate any recommendations.

Cheers

I've got the 3tonne Arcon one, bought it from Costco last year but my god.....It's a heavy bloody thing. Being a weakling it's tough lifting it about.

But it is a great jack!

Is it the 30R with the jackpad that you have?

yeah, I've heard figures of 47kg or so!

Is that the one?

Looks a solid piece of kit when I've seen i tin store, but I ended up buying the Aluminium one as I felt the 3 ton was a bit overkill.

The aluminium one is still a solid heavy(ish) thing itself.

I have an ally one, its still a heavy bit of kit, used most days & its been utterly reliable for the past 3 years.

In the words of Boris the Blade....... ' heavy is good... heavy is reliable...'

3 ton lifting may seem overkill... but it just means you have a greater safety margin when lifting your vehicle.. plus it has a much better footprint than a 2 ton jack...

I've got the big heavy one from Costco. It does weigh an absolute ton. Really wouldn't want to lift it into the boot of the car (although I suppose I got it home from Costco somehow!

Plus points - very solid, low entry, high lift, rubber jack pad. Only negative apart from the weight is that the handle is not removable so you have to be careful not to trip over it while working!

There are 2 things I regret not buying sooner.
My impact gun and my costco Arcan 3t steel jack.

IIRC you can find them on ebay, but it's worth joining CostCo just for the jack.

odd, when I spoke to my nearest one earlier they said they didn't have any!

On ebay they're £150+ delivered!

Great jack, but 45kgs+ is about right, and it's an awkward bugger if you have to carry it out of your garage every time you want to use it.

Fortunately, I lift.

Another vote for the 3 ton arcan one. I agree with everyone else, great for the money, very solid, very heavy.

The one linked to in the 4th post does have a removable handle - 2 piece as well woohoo!

And it gives the net weight as 37kg not 47 - new & improved model maybe?

Just bumping, any other suggestions seems Chingford & Thurrock don't have them, everywhere I read very positive comments about these so this would be my preference.

Cheers for any recommendations.
