Has anyone seen any details about this yet.

A friend and myself are interested in doing this and raising some money for the BHF.

Used to be very popular in the day !!

Hmmm, this could be of interest!
My Dad used to do these in the mid 80s with a friend, and as its his 70th next year Ive been looking for something interesting to do celebrate it. I'm sure he would love to do it again!
What time of year does it happen?

I believe in Mid February, there is a web site www.beaujolaisrun.com which has some details but I know there are others.

There were some problems behind the scenes which resulted in the run being cancelled in 2012. AFAIK the intention is to run it next year, but there may be some delays getting things moving again.

I entered for ten or so years and stopped three years ago due to the economics of it and not being able to justify the costs... won it twice and once got the award for highest fund raiser; fab time and very enjoyable.

It's held 3rd week of November to coincide with the release of the beaujolais Nueveau.

I'm sad to hear it got binned this year; are you able to shed any light on what those "behind the scene" issues were, Marshalla? Happy for you to PM me if easier!

Not something for a public forum, I think. My understanding is that the intention is to get it back on form for this year and the foreseeable future though.

My recollection is that it involved a lot of late nights, followed by some very early mornings. Hard work, but great fun and well worth doing.

What sort of cost do you think it was to do it all?

When I did it, there was a minimum of £2.5k to be raised for charity + your own expenses to be covered (order of £700 or thereabouts + fuel, spending money, insurance, breakdown cover etc.)

Their mailbox is still full, it does'nt give much confidence in giving them more money if you can't even get in contact with them!
