Wouldn't it be handy if there were tyre review sites, and maybe even search engines to enable people to find such sites...... eek

used them on my old clio 172 and they seam pretty good, especially considering the price.

I expect someone will be along to tell you all Yoko's are awful in the wet but I found them fine in torrential rain in the alps as did the other guy I was there with.

In my experience, on 195/50/15's, no. Very vague grip at the limit, quite a soft sidewall, not very good in extreme wet conditions. Went for T1-R's instead and they're a vast improvement.

I like to get first hand answers, rather than from a site where they say perfect in every way smile

Had them on a 206 HDi with 90 bhp.

Excellent in the dry, progressive on the limit and you had to try REALLY hard to get them to let go.

The wet was a different story though, I just put up with it and drove carefully but they weren't confidence inspiring at all.

ETA: these were 205/40/17s. And as written above, my Toyo T1-Rs (not a direct comparison as 195/45/15 on a smaller car) were similar in the dry but better in the wet.

Sums up my experience with them. Apart from the Peugeot bit.

Same here, 195.50.15's on honda civic/integra type-r suspension. considering how cheap they are, they are a good performance tyre. But as said above, I also found them to be pretty bad in the greasy/wet conditions, but just drive within the limits, they were just surprisingly low limits. Also very noisy.

All that jazz

Yokos, like Toyos, are st because they are made from the softest rubber available which makes them a) wear out in 10 miles, b) should it be raining for that 10 miles you will die from them having no wet grip.

Ran them on my Fabia VRS in 205/40/17. Amazing in the dry, much better than T1R's coped with driving hard and 300lb/ft thrown at them regularly. Much better wear rate than T1R's as well.

Shocking in the wet, T1R beats it, but not by alot.

I had them on my Corrado VR6, I liked them.

Quite soft but very grippy and wore quite well, even stood up well to a day at Santa Pod with smokey burnouts and hard launches.

All very well saying that, but surely any opinions gleaned on here would be more reliable than some of those tyre review sites (apart from magazine reviews of course).

It's always handy to get first hand opinions from like minded people.

My experience was of them on an old EG civic:

1. Mind blowing dry grip.
2. Almost dangerous in the wet. (Had a few "moments".)
3. Wear out quite quickly.

Would I buy them again? Not if I lived in the UK.
