I'm looking to get involved in some sort of club level motorport in the near future and want to spend a bit of time and money developing my skills before I commit to anything. From searching online it appears this is the only rally school in Scotland. However, they do not have a website and I was wondering if anyone on here had any experiences of them? I've done the Knockhill rally experience in the past but that was really just a short taster and I'd like something a bit longer and more involved. Also, if anyone has any advice on the best way to develop my driving skills besides this I'd be glad to hear.

Cheers.

Have never been somehow, but do know the man behind it, Tommy Mackin. Know of quite a few that have used their stage as testing and rate it.

How about doing some co-driving in the forests. You'll learn a lot more by sitting beside various drivers. You'll also learn a heap about car prep, and you'll probably have a great time too.

I started by co-driving, then did a bit of driving and now that time is tight and i've a knackered car I'm back co-driving but it's great fun. I'm lucky enough to have sat beside some drivers who have far better car control than I think I'll ever learn!

I'd imagine co-driving is not for the feint hearted though! What do people think about rally schools as a useful way to develop your skills even if you aren't currently competing? Or is there no substitute for experience and practice, in which case is it better to jump in at the deep end?
