The old, pick 2 out of the 3 question...

Cheap V8's are easy to find.

Sporty V8 cars are easy to find.

What about, Cheap, sporty, AND V8?

TVR Wedges do the trick, as do a few other British, low volume, old or kit type cars, but there not a whole lot else? Certainly regards mass produced 'factory' type cars?

Say, under £5k, must be the kind of thing you might go for a bit of a 'hoon' in, so Big Mercs and BMW's are out.

Depends on what is "cheap" but my nomination is the VX Monaro.

Does a CLK500 count as a big Merc - because I think they are quite small....

This for example?

See £5k rule above.

CLK, hmm, thats bordering on being a bit of a cruiser rather than a V8 I reckon? No idea though, never driven one!

I think you're really looking at either American cars or classics.

Reckon two of my collection would seem to fit the brief.
