Just reading another thread where somebody wad joking that these were 2 of man's greatest inventions. I know there is a lot of respect for these cars, but I've had both for a which now.

Going to replace one but which one and what for?!?

Bit of fun, only need one with 4 seats and one with 2, motorwayish one and a smaller convertible type sporty one.

What would you swap one / both for to improve the garage?

You have an mx5 and a remapped BMW!
What next?!?

Nothing.
You have reached the pinnacle of car ownership.
Everything from this point onwards is a downwards move.

I disagree.

To be a true PHer you need an MX5 and a Skoda Octavia VRS

Only then will you be complete.

Listen unto this man for he speaketh the truth. For lo, the Octavia VRS is the (new) answer to everything.

Mini Cooper. Economical & nippy. Practical enough. Holds its price. Buy one & spend the rest on something not car related!

Going similar cost mk3 MR2 is better than the MX5, if wanting to upgrade and happy with increased costs Boxster S.

Large cars are all such similar beasts it's hard to decide, I'd go as practical and comfy as possible so an estate, S6.

I think I would swap the MX5 for a Be M and the Be M for an MX5. That should give you a fresh lease of life and help you maintain your man card.

You could even re-map the Be M to score extra manlyness points.

Or how about an S2/3 TVR and a C32 Merc.

This be crazy.

The ONLY cars you can move on to are an Alfa, or a TVR.

You haven't mentioned a budget but to try and help rather than be condescending I would look to change the MX5 for a Lotus Elise and see what budget was left for the other one.
