I know it was in the DM, but even so, the article today about whiplash really made my blood boil:

5,300 of these companies, referring people to no-win, no-fee law firms in exchange for cash, only 700 of which have been shut down for malpractice.

The Government says "‘We are proposing action to support effective whiplash diagnosis by medical experts and to simplify procedures that will help to bring speculative or fraudulent claims before a judge,"

The bunch who look after all these lawyers: The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers criticised the proposals, saying they would ‘cripple access to justice for vulnerable people’

These people are just f****** unbelievable! They're looking out for their own members and everything else comes a distant second. When I was rear-ended a coupl of years ago, I had phone calls asking me if I was injured (they almost tried to diagnose me over the phone). I also received numerous text messages encouraging me to claim for an injury I didn't have. If that wasn't an encouragement to commit fraud I don't know what is.

Anyway, the sooner this system is closed the better.
