Assuming you're talking about the most recent one - It's not quite so nimble. Obviously its FWD, but its pretty good for that. If you're thinking of the Spider they can be a little wobbly, I think they're meant to benefit quite a bit from braces. The V6 is amazing but given how it is in the other cars, probably makes it a little front-heavy. The ride's a bit crashy and the seats are rubbish - really wide and flat with a weird lump in them for styling purposes, I'm not sure if you can replace them with 156 seats but if you could, those are much comfier.
Nice cars though, just not quite as sharp. Be prepared for wear-and-tear related bills, though - the suspsension bushes wear out quite a lot, cambelt changes, etc.

I've got a gtv 2.0ts,her indoors has an mx5 that I regularly borrow, glorious though a gtv v6 is and great as a car if its just as a fun thing I bet you'd miss the mx5 after a while,my 2.0 gtv handles great for a fwd car but its nowhere near as good as her mx5.
The gtv isnt hugely expensive to buy so why not just add one to the fleet for winter fun and keep the mx5 for summertime?
