Have you ever tried using car shampoo in your windscreen washer jets?

I was topping up my reservoir this afternoon with normal washer jet fluid and wondered whether car shampoo could be used mixed with water? Theoretically I reckon it could, it obviously has cleaning properties, doesn't damage paintwork and has properties which stop it freezing below 0.

So, has anyone tried this?

There's nothing to stop you mixing it in, but I think you'd regret it when you flick your wiper stalk and end up with a load of foam all over the screen.

It would probably gunk up the jets.

Don't do it same effect as mixing washing up liquid in there.
it may sound like a good idea but you will just end up
with a smeared film on your screen buggering up your vision nicely.
