Thinking of a road trip into Sweden Jan/Feb

Have a friend who lives in mid part (ish) who I will visit.

2 of us going one EVO 9 and a 335d BM both cars will have winters on of course.

Anyone know of any ice driving type events we can take our own cars to?

Most of them seem to be fly and use their own cars.

Well it says you can use your own car, but I'm fairly sure they insist on studded winter tyres.
And that place above is quite a drive from Askersund. I'd guess easily 4 hours one way.

He mailed me straight back and said we can use our own cars.

Told me to give him a call. Just mailed him back and said we wouldn't be on studded winters as we would be driving up from UK. See what he says.

We could just drive up and use their cars if that was the case. Still be a good road trip and a great laugh.

Yes, I'm sure it will smile There are a few places like this that do ice driving. I know there's one for eg, further north in Östersund. Otherwise there are lots of local car clubs that do it up in the north (Dalarna and upwards).

Thanks for the advice and interest/reply to my post.

The event doesn't start until the 29th Jan so plenty of time to prepare.

Will update as I go.

If you go to the place linked above - you're quite close to some of Swedens popular ski resorts (Sälen). Could give that a bash while you're there.
