Hi all. I need your help as I've been a bit slack and not done the research for a car quiz I've agreed to do at work on Wednesday 19th Dec over lunch. I'm after interesting car based questions (plus answers!) that a modest petrol head would or could get (not uber nerdy or techy). This is my opener:

Q - What car manufacturer claims to have used the worlds largest advertising sign? Bonus point for on what and when.
A - Citroen, Eiffel Tower, 1925.

So what do you know?! Any questions and answers much appreciated.
Cheers

Q: What was the registration number of the Aston Martin DB5 used in Goldeneye?

A: BMT 214A

I wonder how many people will say BMT 216A?

Yes, I'm a nerd.

What is the BMW badge supposed to represent?

What was invented first, the Supercharger or Turbocharger? Bonus points for the manufacturers who put them in a car first and also the decade.

Well done, especially 4. The ability to copy is undervalued, I reckon!

The flag of Bavaria, not a propeller as is commonly said.

What is the purpose of a 'differential' (it allows the inner wheel to describe a tighter circle than the outer wheel when cornering).
I have a car with no differential.

I'd change your answer to "it allows the inner wheel to describe a tighter circle than the outer wheel when cornering without all that annoying wheel skip and suspension wind up".

Or even better "it allows wheels on the driven axle to rotate at different speeds".
