Hi Firstly (long time lurker), and secondly I am looking at buying an Audi A1, but have a choice of two colours, Samoa Orange, or Glacier White, both with contrast roof. Which looks the best? I can't decide. I'm not so bothered about long term residuals, life's too short for that!

Just interested in what you the PH massive think of the colours - not the brand biglaugh

Pics below to help.

Thanks in advance wavey

Orange! I hate the number of "monochrome" cars on the roads.

Is that roof really grey though? It looks like it's meant to be black and has faded. hehe

Orange, as long as it is that colour all over, not a fan of two tone cars.

Depreciation white or unpopular orange. Hmmm

I'd take orange, some carbon monioxide and waking up on a Sunday morning asking myself what the hell I was doing with my life

Orange!

I visited my local Audi dealer last week to buy a part. And in the car park/showroom 99% of cars were either black, white, or silver.

Get the orange.

my car is black, I hate it. And that's not a racist comment

Orange, of course, for the same reasons as everybody else. I drove an A1 they other day, did about 60 miles in. Not a bad place to be, but drive and ride reminded me of the previous generation VW Polo, I guess that's got a lot to do with it being such a short wheel base. It was also the 1.4TDI too, so sounded like a 3 cylinder petrol!

I like the look of the orange one, but I'm just not sure that after a year I still would, and with the white, every other Audi seems to be white. But thanks for the feedback guys! ears

Even though it's not my favourite colour, I'm so bored of white cars... get the orange!

In the Real World does a dealer ever bid more money when part exchanging a popular colour? (does the Glasses guide ever say "+£50 for black"?)

Saw a TTS in Samoa orange at the weekend, its slightly dull for my liking but its probably still nicer than most of the grey/silver/black that seems so popular right now.

No, but they do bid less money for an unpopular colour.
