Morning Everyone

I posted one of these threads a little while ago with the idea of getting myself a fun car. Well that's kinda gone out the window now my g/f and I have found out were having a baby smile

So, I need a half sensible car that won't cost me the earth to run. I wouldn't mind an auto and I'm open to diesel with the possibility of running it on veg oil if possible. I've got about 2k to spend and can't go over.

Cheers

So any 3 seater car with a boot for less than £2k that doesn't fall to bits or use loads of fuel?

Golf. Civic. Pretty much anything.

I bought a 200SX as a family wagon. It sort of did the job. I can't recommend it though.

Bit boring - But Focus, Mondeo, Astra.

Or dare I say it a Vectra - Huge boots to stick all the baby crap in

The 1.9TDI VAG engine is the best car for running on Oil or so I have been told.

If I had £2k I'd be looking at something like this though: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-MONDEO-2-0-TDCI-130...

  • Respectable looking
  • "Fully loaded"
  • Roomy & comfortable
  • A good drive
  • 130bhp and Diesel
  • A great all round car, nothing else really to add smile

I thought this link was going to a Passat 1.9 tdi B5 Highline - it's where my £2k would go
