Why is the ignis sport in that list?

I'd go for the abarth personally.

Swift Sport has to be a better bet than the Ignis, surely? Of that list, though, I think it'd be the Cooper S for me.

Sorry, what I mean is more the fact of price. For example the 500 abarth will be still relatively expensive compared to the ignis due to the age of the abarth.

It just read a little like me saying astra vxr, megane r26 or mk4 golf gti.

Not that there's any hard and fast rule, people buy what they like but normally people tend to choose similar priced cars in what car threads.

I was just surprised to see it.

Suzuki swift is closer to the other two cars. I've had a cooper s but would be tempted by the essesse, the quad exhausts are quite cool. Ever since I saw one weaving in and out of London traffic at full throttle I've wanted one, they look awesome fun in the city.

Depends what you want.

I can't speak for the Ignis Sport, but as for the other two:

  • Abarth 500 Essesse - frenetic little ball of energy, spinning its wheels and crashing into its bump stops, less grown up than the MINI but equally stylish and bags of character
  • MINI Cooper S - more mature feel, arguably better quality, in many respects better to drive but not quite as full-on (unless you can stump up for a JCW), more civilised ground-coverer
I love the cheeky character of the Essesse and there's a good chance I'd go for that one personally. But the Cooper S is a better all round proposition in objective terms.

P&B's - sorry, yes point taken and a fair one as i hadn't realised the 500's were so pricey. I watched a TG Clarky vid which looked old.

No, I wont be going for one. Thought I had found possible daily run-about as the slightly hooligan element appealed... but will have to keep looking I think as the other two I am not convinced on either

500 abarth all the way. Wife got one in august and I can't keep out of it, great to drive, 10k up so far and hasn't used a drip of oil. Depreciation is the key tho....3 year old ones still making 9/10k all day, we bought ours for 13k new (not esseesse). No brainer.

Get a Cooper S, I have the Turbo R56 version, but in my opinion buy the R53 Model as it is supercharged, and can be modified a lot easier.

Esseesse, but of course I'm biased. But then overall it's a better car than the other two

You would have a lot of change if you bought the ignis, they go for around £2k now! They are also mega reliable and fun.

Enjoying mine but 500 and cooper s are leagues ahead in terms of performance
