I don't really have an official job title at work. You could call it managing sales, you could call it estimations or even something else

Anyway, insurance as a sales manager = £605
Insurance as an estimator = £730

Seems strange. What effort do insurance companies go to, to check your job title is correct when you make a claim? I don't think they've ever asked in the past

Have a look at your payslip, and you'll probably find your designated position e.g. i recently found out i'm a 'car parking officer' (I park cars part time), but as i'm in full time uni i just say student.

Have a look at the link above. 'Student' adds £180 to my premium over what my actual job is.

No title on payslip, just department code of Manufacturing Overheads. Seems to me that you can get away with putting what you like as long as it is somewhat related

I am the database manager for a large company, I oversee the companies database infrastructure, the nearest job title was data administrator so the lady on the phone said that would do, it is nearest in terms of title but really I think a data adminstrator enters data parrot fashion where my role is a littlemore involved, she seemed happy and I couldn be arsed expalinign further.

Thanks for the link, my job is only £3 more expensive than the cheapest, which is an airport manager , which is no way or form related to what I do

My job is to deal with motor insurance claims. I think it should be a recognised job title when looking for motor insurance because it's made me a too careful/borderline paranoid driver. It falls under a generic insurance claims category, however.
Christ tell me about it, I watch other drivers like a hawk while I'm on roundabouts.
