Slight change in circumstances mean i'm now looking for a new car with 15k instead of the 20k I was going to spend on an Audi TTS.
Requirements:
- Pretty fast yet capable of reasonable MPG when required, reasonable MPG to me is 35-40 on a long run, 25-30 day to day driving in traffic, cruising and generally blasting around (Anything upwards of 200bhp for me is fine)
- Practical, need a boot that I can put my dog in and also big enough for your average trip to ikea for furniture etc (but not at the same time!) doesn't need 5 doors though and not an estate or something that would be classed as a barge!
- Relatively new (4-5 years old at the most, but the newer the better)
- Lowish mileage (looking for 20-30k examples tops)
- Ideally turbocharged, just because they are generally easier to achieve reasonable MPG in when required and I am a bit of a boost addict or a lazy driver who doesn't want to be changing down gears to accelerate all the time!
Thats about it for requirements!
My own thoughts so far have only been 2.0L Sciroccos (the boot lip annoys me alot though, lifting my dog in over there is going to be a pain and not sure how much you could actually fit in the back because of the lip), MK6 Golf GTIs which are only just in the 15k price range and as a bit of a wild card.. nissan jukes! (The 1.6 dig-t with 190bhp, I like them just my personal tastes!)
Any ideas are appreciated, but before it is even suggested I don't want to buy two cars and have a weekend toy and I don't want to just buy something thats 10 years old because its mega quick bruv innit. My requirements are firm.
Cheers,
Matt

Would an audi a5 3.0tdi suit? Or do you just want petrol?
Dont think the a5 would be much good blasting around though but at 15k its where my money would go.
With under 30k for under 15k? Doubt it!Dont think the a5 would be much good blasting around though but at 15k its where my money would go.
Nice cars, though
Sure you could wiggle the price down a bit? As said, its where my money would go.
