I drove a manual 996 Turbo a few years ago at a track day experience and although I had no experience to compare it to, the 2nd and 3rd gear acceleration left me with some amazing and vivid memories of deploying 420 hp. All the annecdotes about cornering on rails were realised. The bleeping made by the PASM were like the dictionary being recited in Morse code.
If I had a spare 20+ grand, I'd be into one. Bargain performance!
