Nice one Missus gave me some random Christmas gifts (socks, mug etc etc) but the best is the "No Rules Sex Coupon" which most probably I think I'll redeem tonight

What about every relationship where one partner doesn't work but manages the household and brings up the kids?

Surely the breadwinners earnings are spent on all presents making it a bit redundant giving anything at all by your logic?!

Fair point but I wasn't being entirely serious and it's not exactly my logic here, it was more born of the fact the OP has mentioned (twice) that it's "costing him".

If I were the OP then I wouldn't consider it to be costing me anything in the situation you describe and I wouldn't mention it.
