Vauxhall Mokka - what the fu..........
Discussion
I saw an advert for this steaming, freshly laid stool last night. Jesus Christ. If that's the best GM can do, they should give up now. Not just the dreary, generic lifestyle advert but the thing itself.
After my initial knee jerk reaction to the Nissan Juke, I now don't mind it because they made it so different to everything else and it sells like hotcakes.
And the name - Mokka. Yeah, rolls around nicely on the tongue when preceded by Vauxhall, doesn't it? Bet they were up all f
king night thinking up that one. Jayzus.

Buying one means you like to stand out, apparently. By owning a car that isn't as good as a Qashqai, if recent reviews are anything to go by.
I really don't get GM sometimes.
I do. It's desperation, clear for all to see. Renault tried it with the Koleos, realised that ship had already sailed and dumped it sharpish.I really don't get GM sometimes.
And they also do the new Adam....
cue lots of jokes with a bloke called Adam - or not.

To be fair though, on the subject of names - its bloody hard to get one that works across multiple markets (now the world?) and that stands up to both TradeMarking and overall protection. Some manufacturers dont bother, others do and end up with some weird names. But its better than some of the Japanese models for their local market only. They are bloody hilarious.
Mazda Bongo Friendee anyone?

It looks... dull. Certainly not offensive.
Lets be honest, it's better looking than any of Germany's attempts at a small SUV type thing.
Isn't it just a rebadged opel mokka which is German? Unless its a rebadged American design but seems a bit small for them.Lets be honest, it's better looking than any of Germany's attempts at a small SUV type thing.

So Nissan makes the juke which is a non-generic looking SUV we get lots of threads saying how awful it is and it makes them want to be sick
Now Vauxhall makes an exceedingly bland generic SUV we get a thread about how terrible it is
People have different tastes
DEAL WITH IT
Well this new Vauxhall clearly makes you very angry. Do you think you'll actually lose it if you see one on the road? Now Vauxhall makes an exceedingly bland generic SUV we get a thread about how terrible it is

Yes, its an Opel. For the most part Vauxhall buy cars from Opel, they re-configure them for the UK market though, so what might be a standard item here is an option in europe (and vice versa) in some cases options available in europe are not available here (thats fairly rare though).
Don't understand what all the rage is about, its not a PH car, it just joins the masses of other "normal cars" out there.
