Anyone got a garage 10' 8" wide?

Garage currently 8'10" internal and just not wide enough to work in on a modern car. (Volvo 940 or Lotus Excel)
I have the possible option of rebuilding, adding around 22" to the width but will the cost be worth it?
Anyone got a garage at that width able to confirm or better still anyone in the north east able to let me try my car in their garage......not to do any work, just to see it its possible

Having worked in various different sized garages, I'd say that going from 8'10 to 10'8 would go from "almost impossible to rebuild a car in" to "awkward to rebuild a car in". It will be a big improvement, but you'll probably still have to shuffle the car around to work on different bits of it and I wouldn't really fancy trying to spray-paint a complete car in a garage that size.

10 foot 8 would be a luxury

if total rebuild then maybe a bit tight but you would need to get it dead centre

if its weekend stuff then depends on what you are doing would mean 3 foor plus of room on 1 side of the car if you got it in nice and tight to the opposite side

I've just bought a house with a garage 17'9" by 8'2" . Am I going to struggle to do anything to a car in it ?

Or 17'8 by 8'11 depending what bit of paper I read...
