Installed a new but 2nd hand to us a kenwood kdc-w4737u and when the engine is off it loses its memory for the stations programmed 1-6.
read the manual briefly http://images.kenwood.eu/files/prod/632/5/KDC-W453... and doesnt mention anything here.

so, is it the head unit at fault or not wired up right?

Thanks

Serves you right for installing a food mixer in your dashboard.

Swop the yellow and red wire positions on the Kenwood loom, there are 'links' in the middle of the wires.

That's the one. It should be really obvious when you pull the unit back out.

i assume there isnt any way of damaging the device should the yellow/red wires be hooked up wrong?
