...needed some oil today so popped into my local Shell station. Many choices of wine, bread, yoghurt etc...I could get all manner of magazines (inc Fiesta, had no idea it was still published) and even had a choice of shower gel.

Found the oil, it was in a dark corner behind the nappies on a tiny shelf. Ah, modern times eh?

Happy New Year biggrin

It wouldn't even occur to me to try a petrol station for engine oil these days.

My neighbour bought "Petrol" in a Tesco store, as in off the shelf.
Turned out it was engine oil for petrol vehicles. hehe

Yes she did put it in the tank.

There's a thread about it somewheres.

Reminds me of a run in that I had.

Took an empty container to the checkout to be told they had run out but had the blue one. Not being told otherwise I assumed it was just a different colour.

Turned out it was mineral rather than fully synthetic. Marched back to the checkout, and pointed out it was ot just a different colour... She then told me she was too busy to give me a refund banghead

Manager sorted it after I got grumpy.

You'd think they'd keep the lube next to the porn! It's the right thing to do.

I'd never put oil in a car before (though I did check levels) until I purchased my current barge! Now I'm a regular...
