Just bought a Mazda 6 2.0 diesel, 58 plate. It drove home perfectly ok, approx 70 miles motorway.
On pulling off the motorway, there is no throttle response, it barely goes and then its like the turbo kicks in and its away above about 2,000 rpm, So it sounds like I've bought a shed, although it test drove all ok for approx 20 miles this morning, what do you reckon Turbo?,Throttle position sensor?.

its had the dpf removed and software updated, cheers Andy

Diesel injectors? Could possibly be these or simply the oil seals around them. I replaced the latter on a Mazda 6 I had recently (not with the same symptoms as your's, it was just dropping oil).

EGR valve sticking open when hot - This makes the PCM think there is a MAF fault (EGR flow is monitored by MAF)

It should produce either P0101 and/or P0104 as a fault code, but as the DPF has been deleted, the PCM will have been played with to overcome the problems that DPF removal creates within the management system. So no idea if it still will.

EGR sticking open wouls also explain the reason for DPF removal in teh first place.

Don't know what the problems is. It came with a 3 month warranty,
He wanted me to claim on that. After a few phone calls, he phoned me back and offered to wait and see what the warranty would say, they were disputing whether it was an existing fault as I was claiming 2 hours after it was taken out.In witch case it wouldn't be covered.

Then he said he would give me my money back if I wanted.
So obviously take the money. sorry about spelling/grammar, typing quick, got to go to work,
Thanks for all the help anyway

If you want no DPF problems, go for the later 2.2 - unlike the 2.0, they have no DPF issues at all
