Just treated myself to new car, the newest car I've ever bought.

61 plate Alfa Giuletta JTDM 170 Veloce TCT with more toys than Hamleys, can't wait to get it.

So excited!!!

I know they're a great car and I'd defintiely but an Alfa at shed money, not sure i'm brave enough to shell on on a new on

I read somewhere that Alfa had acquired the services of some guy that used to be head of quality/reliability at Audi / Volkswagen

I love the back lights on these when lit but the front is a no-no. All taste though and I hope you love it.

The car I'm buying is Ex-Alfa UK, new it was £31,000 in the spec I'm getting and I've paid nowhere near that, not even close!

It will be the fifth Alfa I've owned. I do understand why people are still reluctant to buy them, they believe the stories they hear about Alfas of old.

Its very easy to spec a giulietta up to 30k lol, trouble is the M135i would be impossible to argue against at that price!

Very nice, considering one of these myself. Had a few as courtesy cars and have been very impressed. What colour did you go for?

Lol, yeah I know.

In addition to the usual Veloce spec, my car has;

Heated Full Leather Seats
BOSE
Electric Folding Mirrors
18" Wheels
Red Brake Callipers
Rear Parking Sensors
Visibility Pack
Paddles (curiously these were/are an extra)

The cost of extras soon mounts up.

Nice, i am a big fan of the giulietta and alfa's on general. Which wheels are they? Teles? Turbines? Not sure which i prefer tbh.

Not if you saw they price you wouldn't! It's available on all Alfas as a £15k option. Yes....£15k.

No, it's £2,000, was £15,000 when it first came out. Still silly money.

Makes the original pricing seem all the more ridiculous. I'd assumed that there was some explanation for the extortionate cost but clearly not!

When the lady on the Alfa stand at Goodwood the other year told me the price I assumed she'd got her wires crossed but then it was actually printed on the spec sheet for a car they had on display.

You've picked well. Probably the nicest Alfa for at least a generation. And best still you've gone for the diesel which is easily the best of them.

Best aspects for me are the design, quality of the interior, and the "go baby go" button that serves up the sport mode. They are surprisingly quick with that engaged in normal road conditions.

Thank you.

I've driven every Giulietta both petrol and diesel including the Cloverleaf and I think this car with the new TCT gearbox is fantastic to drive.
