Afternoon chaps and chapesses,

My brother in law will be celebrating a significant birthday this year and both his wife, my wife and the rest of the family thought a driving day would be a good pressie. In the past we've done a rally driving day and TVR experience (with added Ferrari and Lambo driving, which was a bonus). Now I'm looking for something new for this one (and as he doesn't like doing these things on his own I'll have to join in - it's a dirty job but someone has to do it). Have thought about an off-road adventure (as they sound like fun) but he does enjoy speed, so I'm after any suggestions for something a bit different. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Cheers

What's your budget? Vauxhall do a good value track day, but they haven't got dates or format for this year yet.

Palmer Sport day always gets recommended on here as well, and it looks great. Costs a fair bit more though!

Thanks for that. I looked at the Palmersport site, it does look like a good day out. Whilst not in the Bill Gates / Roman Abramovich league, thankfully the budget isn't a major issue. Have you got a link for the Vauxhall track day?

He'd be disappointed driving my Leon, he's got a 12 months old Focus RS with about 350 bhp IIRC. He already takes that off to the IOM a couple of times a year with some RS owning buddies. But good suggestion - I might go for that for me at some point. Cheers

What about Mercedes Benz World? They do quite a range of driving experiences, plus have the museum which is free to have a wander about in.
