My new Falken 452s turned up today and as I was pretty much on the wear bars on the old ones, I had to get them fitted today - working hours meant it would have been another week before I could've gone to my usual indy and I'd have been annoyed to pick up 3-6 points just because I couldn't get them done today.

Against my better judgement I went to a place to get them fitted kwikly as they were the only place open. £10 a wheel seemed pretty reasonable as well, with valve and balancing. I've just noticed - after wiping off the gunk they use to help get the tyre on - that they've taken large chunks out of the finish on both rims. I've thought about making a noise but I figure they will just deny all knowledge and say it must've happened after I left.

To say I'm annoyed is an understatement.

Also can anyone recommend a place in West Sussex to get the arches rolled as the new tyres are rubbing occasionally and I can see that getting annoying pretty quickly.

Could it not be the tyres rubbing on the arches that is taking chunks out?

No, it's taken a chunk out of the rim. The rim's nowhere near the arch. That it's happened both sides means it's where they've levered the tyre onto the rim. It's possible it may be 'touch-uppable' rather than having the entire rim refurbed but I'm still not very happy.

Just had a quote for Arch Enemy to roll the arches - they'll come to me and it's £110 for both rears including re-sealing and trimming the wheelarch liner to fit. Is this reasonable do you think? I've seen some positive reviews of their work online but am still open to other recommendations.
