Car vandalism - Surveillance camera options?
Discussion
Our Range Rover was keyed pretty badly in the car park of the apartment block I live in. Both sides front to back and the bonnet. The car park is run by an external company (like NCP) and they really don't care. They don't have any CCTV cameras covering the car park either.
This person has vandalized a number of cars in the car park over the past few weeks, the latest one was lastnight, someone's Camero was keyed same as ours, front to back and bonnet.
I want to get some sort of surveillance camera system to put in the car - preferably one that runs off an internal rechargeable battery as the car is only driven at weekends so can't connect it to the 12v lighter.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a system that is battery operated, wide angle or multiple cameras and can record in low light?
Other option is we have 2 cars. We could put one camera in each and park them facing each other in the car park so that they record each other.
Looking for any suggestions as I feel it may happen again.

Honest answer is that video footage late at night isnt going to get you much further, you would have to be quite lucky to be able to identify someone from it. I would still do it for the sake of gaining more information such as times, clothing and direction of travel but you would probably be better off if you had a camera looking down from your residence rather than in the vehicles for that.
Firstly what a shame some tw@t feels the need to do something like this. I do feel sorry for you.
My fatherinlaw has a system set up with cameras on his garage that are wireless and use a 9V battery within the camera. Initially bought for recording wildlife close up without the need for cables and still being completely mobile. It has a unit inside plugged into either the tv or a dvd recorder. I don't know the specifics or technical details or indeed battery life but the recordings he makes are good quality. If your based close to the parking place this maybe an option?
