For what it's worth, I did watch it- it was 'ok' but overly dumbed down IMO. Some interesting accounts though.

I also watched it, and found it pretty poor. it alluded to some interesting potential issues, however that the insurers negotiate bulkbuy discounts for paint, parts and labour were no surprise, and I would have thought it would be irresponsible of them to NOT negotiate such discounts.

The only surprise was the cost cutting to the point that in one case the insurance company would not pay for a impact beam to replaced within a door. If true that is worrying.

Oh, it is him again. Former panel beater turns chippy lawyer.

He tried to set up a petition about "steering" a few years back. IIRC he got about the same response as an automatic dog washer petition. Thread here.

It wasn't that interesting anyway, just the same old "steering" issue rather than anything new.

We have invited him to speak at this years Post magazine Claims conference.

He used to be a panel beater you know. I wonder if he will mention it smile
