Pothole Damage!

Mrs hit a pothole tonight, resulting in a flat tyre and buckled rim.
Wheel seems to cost about £270. I assume if I claim on the insurance it will go up next renewal.
I've reported it to the local highways department, and will get a new wheel but wondering what to do about the cost!
(without wanting to jump straight on the compo bandwagon)
The canyon was a beaut though... That's a size 10 in there for scale.

Get those pictures to your local council ASAP , all the info etc location and damage !!
